Or Something Else?
Therapy is open to whatever you are carrying. You do not need a specific label or diagnosis to reach out. We will explore your unique personal circumstances together at your own pace.
The Process
Starting therapy is a significant step. Here is what you can expect from the very first contact.
Initial Contact
Reach out via email or the online form. We can arrange a free, informal 15-minute introductory video or phone call to discuss what brings you to therapy and answer any questions.
First Session
Our first 50-minute video session provides space to explore your background, goals, and concerns in more depth. It is also an opportunity to see how it feels to work together.
Regular Weekly Sessions
We meet weekly at a dedicated time online via Zoom.
Ongoing Reviews & Pacing
We periodically review our work together to ensure therapy remains helpful and aligned with your goals, whether you prefer short-term focused work or open-ended exploration.
As a person-centred counsellor, I do not believe in one-size-fits-all. Our therapy will be uniquely shaped around who you are, what you value, and what you need at this moment in your life.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long are sessions and how often do we meet?↓
Individual counselling sessions are 50 minutes long and typically take place once a week at a regular, agreed-upon time. Consistency provides a reliable and grounded framework for therapeutic work.
How does online video therapy work?↓
Online therapy takes place via Zoom. Before each session, you will receive a private video link. All you need is a reliable internet connection and a confidential and private, quiet space where you feel comfortable to speak openly and cannot be overheard.
How many sessions will I need?↓
This depends entirely on you. Some clients benefit from short-term focused counselling (6 to 12 sessions) to address a specific life crisis or decision, while others prefer open-ended therapy to explore deeper patterns over time. This can be discussed during the first session.
Is everything we discuss confidential?↓
Yes. Confidentiality is paramount to the therapeutic relationship. All discussions adhere to the strict ethical guidelines of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), with standard legal and safeguarding exceptions which will be clearly explained during the first session.
What is your cancellation policy?↓
I operate a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give at least 24 hours notice to avoid being charged the full session fee.
